Synopsis
Max and Sophie, a couple in their 30s living in Brooklyn, are at a crossroads in their relationship. Sophie is ready for the next steps—marriage, kids, and settling down—while Max clings to their carefree past, spending his days playing video games and smoking weed. After a tense conversation about their diverging life goals, their mischievous cat—and cosmic guide—Willem C. Dafoe leads them to take mushroom chocolates.

What starts as a fun, psychedelic experience quickly escalates into chaos as Willem seems to create dangerous situations. Convinced that Willem is out to kill them, Sophie and Max scramble to survive the night. Amid the hallucinatory madness, their shared experience brings them closer, forcing Max to realize that life can move forward without losing the fun and spontaneity they both love.

A year later, Sophie and Max are proud parents of a newborn baby. Though their lives have changed, they’ve embraced their future together—and Willem C. Dafoe has moved on to be the cosmic relationship guide for another couple.
